Sparrow Insurance, a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker (QPIB), is a specialist provider for insurance for Beauty Professionals, Cosmetic Nurses, and Allied Health Practitioners.  Established in 2009, we are partnered with Keystone Underwriting, a specialist underwriting agency providing specific and unique policies.

We maintain our professional credentials by meeting the continuing professional development requirements as stipulated by the industry regulator. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), responsible for regulating the insurance industry, requires all insurance brokers to have attained, or be working towards obtaining their Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) qualification.

An insurance broker makes the overwhelming process of buying insurance easy.  A broker will help you work through the forms and information as seamlessly as possible.

An insurance broker can do the research and has insight into developments in available insurance solutions and can recommend the most ideal policies to meet your business needs and help you put them into place.

One major benefit of having an experienced insurance broker is they can support you when things don’t go according to plan. Making a claim can be stressful, and a broker can help navigate you through every step of the way of the claims process.

Just like any business, running a clinic or salon comes with its own range of risks, and insurance is there to provide protection if something goes wrong. Not having your business adequately insured could be the difference between staying in business or having to close your doors if an accident or claim occurred.

It is very difficult to know what insurance you need without first understanding your business and/or working environment. We will never recommend insurance coverage for you unless we have taken the time to understand what you do. This occurs by way of an initial detailed discussion with one of our team. Once we have that information, we can search our network of sources to find the solution that is most ideal for you.

In instances where treatments and equipment are new to the market, we will work with insurance providers to develop new insurance products. We work hard to find a way to safeguard our customers’ business, equipment, and people.

There are situations in business that can lead to the emotional, business, and financial stress of a difficult insurance claims process. Before these situations arise, most people do not have direct experience of how to navigate the process for the best outcome. The good news is, we do.

As soon as you identify circumstances that you think could possibly lead to a claim, notify us right away. Our team of insurance professionals will advise you on what you need to do next.

It may be tempting to try to settle any grievances with a client immediately by yourself, however doing so may only aggravate the issue.

It’s important to advise us as soon as you become aware of any claims or circumstances. You can do this via email to or by phone at (07) 5502 8326.

Your insurance policy does not automatically renew.

Sparrow Insurance will notify you that your policy is due for renewal, allowing 3 months for us to perform a review. At this time, it is important to check that the information you originally supplied to us is still correct and to notify us of any changes.

Once the review is complete, we can renew your insurance for another 12-month period.

Your insurance policy does not automatically renew.

A periodic review of your insurance policies is to ensure you and your business are not exposed to any unnecessary risks.

Business circumstances change; you might add new treatments, services, or equipment to your business, or you may change premises. Any of these changes could impact your existing policy coverage. If your business has grown or changed, carefully review your policy to ensure it is still the right cover for you.

Sparrow Insurance specialists are available to answer any questions you have. Call us on (07) 55028 8326.

Why is there so much documentation with insurance? Can Sparrow Insurance help me?

Having served thousands of customers just like you, we know how overwhelming and confusing insurance application documents can be. That’s why our approach to insurance makes it simple, painless — and personal.

Here’s how we do it:

- We go through the documentation and complete the forms with you

- We follow up with you as many times as necessary to get the forms done and your application finalised.

- When renewal time comes, simply respond to our email with any updated business changes or treatments added and your done.

Why do an insurance review?

One of the biggest mistakes business owners and professionals in the beauty, wellness and medical industries make is to leave themselves exposed by not having enough insurance.

An insurance review by a qualified insurance broker is the ideal way to understand if you have enough insurance, taking into consideration your business needs, circumstances, equipment, and liability and indemnity requirements.

Regardless of whether you’re a new or existing customer, we offer a complimentary insurance review. By understanding your current circumstances, we can recommend the most ideal insurance for you – and help you put it in place. We see this initial review as a vital first step to educating and empowering our customers to make sound insurance decisions that protect them now and in the future.

Changes happen in business all the time.  You could add a new treatment or service, change locations, or purchase new equipment. It’s important to let us know when changes occur in your business as they could impact your existing insurance policy coverage.

How to tell us if your details or circumstances have changed – email us directly or call us directly on (07) 5502 8326.

If you would like to cancel your insurance policy, you are required to send a written request with the effective date of cancellation to

However, it’s important to know that when you cancel your policy with Premium Funding, your monthly payments simply don’t stop. As premium funding involves a third party paying the full 12-month policy for you, the cancellation process is not straightforward and involves commission or broker fees to be retained from the unused premium.

Premium funding terms & conditions are available to you once you have received a quote.
